Money surely can drive people crazy and they are ready to do simply anything under the sun to acquire it. It is of such importance in human life that people are even ready to sacrifice their loved ones in greed of money. Compared to such sinful acts, performing some rituals or believing in superstitions can be considered as extremely silly acts.

There are many funny superstitions which gamblers believe in. The most common is after a win, the gambler wears the same attire or accessory in their next games. Likewise, after losing a game, the gambler usually ponders as to which event or action made by him, lead to such a misfortune. If a blackjack has been losing out consecutive games from a dealer, he considers the dealer unlucky and discontinues playing with him. This is another form of superstition. Poker-maniacs believe that sitting crossed leg while playing poker is unlucky.

A large section of the gamblers simply believe in superstitions that have been coming down through ages. Of these, one silly superstition is never to enter a casino through its main entrance. Fifty and two dollar bills are also considered to be very unlucky. Another funny superstition is that people consider counting money while playing is not auspicious. This superstition is quite harmful, as most of the people lose count of the money they have lost or won, and thereby, not realizing when to stop gambling. Whistling or singing during the middle of the game is also not encouraged as it calls for bad luck.

According to a survey almost 80% of the gamblers are superstitious. Being superstitious is not a psychological problem unless it overpowers your mind and body. As one should be aware of the limitations of gambling, likewise one too should be aware of the limitations of gambling.
